The Brandon Michael Lee Foundtion was created in memory of our son, Brandon, whose passon for the arts and connection to community left an indelible mark on everyone he met

Brandon’s life was defined by music. From a young age, he found joy and connection through rythm and sound, particularly his love for the drums. At 20, he followed his passion from Chicago to Philadelphia, building a life centered around the things he loved most.

But Brandon’s heart extended beyond music. He loved cooking, savoring the simple joy of preparing meals and sharing them with others. He believed the best coffee- and the richest conversations- happened in small, local cafes where people gathered and built community. Some of our most cherished memories with Brandon are the quite, everyday moments; sharing a cup of coffee, cooking together, laughing over music or hearing his signature greeting, “Hey Buddy”.

After years of facing serious heart complications and multiple open-heart surgeries , Brandon passed away April 4, 2024.

The Brandon Michael Lee Foundation carries forward his sprit. Our mission is to create opportunities for young people to explore music, the creative arts and life skills like cooking - thing Brandon loved deeply. We aim to give kids access to instruments, music education and creative experiences that might otherwise be out of reach, helping them discover the same joy and connection that defined Brandon’s life.
